IRAN PLOTS TO KILL US AMBASSADOR – US REPORTS
US. intelligence reported that Iran may have tried to kill Lana marks, US ambassador to south Africa for the avenge for qasem soleimani assassination on January 3, this year by the drone strike at the Iraq. Qasem soleimani who was thr leader of extraterritorial Quds forces In inranian revolutionary guards cops, ruthlessly, killed by US in Early January for the pretext of Qasem was plotting to attack US embassies in Baghdad.

After the scrapping the historical deal, which Iran and Obama administration negotiated in 2015 under 5+1, permanent security members and Germany, trump administration had revived the sanctions on Iran on its export of oil and gas. last year both countries drowned each other drones in gulf region to show hegemony in the region. tensions arise more when the Iranian backed forces in Iraq, killed a US contractor. in reaction US bombard Iran's militia who stormed the US embassy in Iraq which prompted US to kill General Qasem soleimani. afterwords Iran took its revenge for the killing of soleimani to fired missile at US embassy in Baghdad but there was not injuries of US troops, however, reports emerged that Missile attacks cause severe brain damages to US troops. recently, US had tried to renew sanctions on Iran which, Britain, France and Russia overthrew in UN security council. one more reason of increasing tensions between Iran and US is gulf countries tending to normalize their relation with Israel thanks to Trump and his son in law who brokered the deal. Iran is arch enemy of saudia Arabia, Israel and USA if there were any agreement among theme considered as deterioration of balance of power in the region by Iran. united Arab emirates normalizes its relation with Israel in August 13, followed by Bahrain and more to go.
WHY IRAN CHOSE LANA MARK
Lana mark is US ambassador to south Africa and she has been closed friend of US president Donald trump nearly two decades. speculations is that her closeness to trump drive Iran for perfect Target for avenging the Suleiman's assassination. other reason is that Iran has a strong military intelligence in south Africa which works in clandestine and Lana mark is ambassador of there so it would be easier target as compare to other regions where US security somehow stronger.
WILL IRAN CAN DO THIS?
Considering Iran's capability it could do this, as Iran itself a regional power. whose rivalry with Saudi Arabia led her to lead proxy war in Syria and Yemen and vice versa. I.e.
