Since the creation of Pakistan, it had consistently receive threats from India as India attacked Jammu and Kashmir despite was a Muslim princely state so by default its should have been a part of Pakistan just like Sindh but India showed no leniency and remains coerced in Jammu Kashmir junagadh and nizam Hyderabad as these three States sought to become the part of Pakistan. Since then Pakistan felt it also needs to advance its military to thwart any attacks from India or USSR, former ally of India during cold war. So Pakistan kept focusing on its military build up and spending billions of dollar to advancing its military, air force and navy.
EQUIPMENT
So far, Pakistan gradually build its military with advance armaments; it has Al-Zadar third generation tanks, Al-Khalid tank light in weight easily deployed anywhere, built by jointly Pakistan and China in 1990s. Currently pakistan has five functional submarine with diesel engine and in addition of frigates in support of submarines. Pakistan air force has world most advance aircraft in the world such as jf17 thunder and f-16 American company Lockheed martin made. Jf17 thunder is a 4.5 generation aircraft with most advance radar and missile system air to air in-fit in it. To counter the Russian made S400 defense missile system which India bought, Pakistan has deployed its LY-18 (HQ-16) defense missile systems surface to air missile with range of 150 km.
PAKISTAN ARMS DEAL
Reports published by Stockholm international Peace and research institute (Sirpi) in march 2020 Pakistan has become the 11the largest arms import country. Pakistan signed deal with China of import of 8 submarine 039b upgraded export (version) worth $5 billion in 2015. Will have functioned in Pakistan navy by the end of 2024.
EXPORT
Pakistan's export has increased to $210 million thanks to China. Pakistan wishes to increased it to one billion dollar; report published by asian reviews. In 2016 Pakistan had exported 16 jf-17 thunder aircraft to Myanmar for worth $400 millions and three aircraft bought by Nigeria.
RANKINGS
Accoding to global firepower index Pakistan stood at 15the most powerful military in the world. It has 12 lac military personnel and 8 lac active personnel which make it 7th largest army. To rank a county global fire power focuses on number of stockpile, population, geography and much more to give a rank.
